Denise fondly remembered Mike for his collegiality when she was .a young teacher at Miller Avenue School. In later life we were both pleased to employ him as a reliever in our respective schools as he was so sporty and resourceful. His final favour for me was to be the proof reader for my recently published book about Thames Valley rugby coaches. Rest in peace Mike - you will be in good company with Denise.

IT waswonderful kinfing up again with Mike during his organization of the 125th Jubilee of St Josephs Convent School in November last year (2015). He certainly did much 'work' (along with Charlie Beach & others I am sure) to ensure we were ab;e to celebrate well. As an addition it was wonderful walking with him through various parts of the Karagahake Gorge & up into the hills there. He was going to show me around the Golf Course too (where I was a member in the 60's and 70's. and where my nother THelma was a very active member) but we just ran out of time!!! Wonderful to hear all the 'work' he has done around Paeroa. May Debbie & his family be comforted to know that he will be Resting in Eternal Peace. Ta soooo much Mike

Deepest condolences to you Debbie and family and Mikes friends who will miss him so much. A brave and cheerful man. Great golfer, we played a few mixed tournaments together before cancer slowed me down, it didn´t slow Mike down for many years. Kindest thoughts Debbie.

I have known Mike Cotter for about 35 years; he was my neighbour for quite a while. Always happy to help, have a chat, always helping the young ones. A great credit to the Paeroa community. He will be missed.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Taught me alot and was lucky to have him for 2 years.
Remember being able to swing a golf club during class if our name was read out of a tote box.

I had been wondering why Mike didn't pick up last time I called. Wish I had tried harder. Thoughts are will the family at this sad time. Mike was a much loved nephew to his Uncle Pat , lets hope they are sharing a yarn about cricket and golf somewhere over the rainbow. He was more than a cousin he was a friend to many of us that knew him well and we will miss him RIP Mike ....Judi McNie
