It was a privilege to know you Michael, my Uncle by association via my friendship with your beautiful niece Lissy and her sisters. Thank you for your kind and generous support in sharing your professional knowledge and lifes' experience in recent years. You helped me to know it was going to be okay and I really enjoyed how you used words like 'specious' and 'spurious'. We had some good laughs and chats about the books you were reading too. Rest well and I am sure you are having a wonderful time with whanau and friends on the other side. Arohanui and Haere ra to you, a truly good man.

Rest in peace, dear Michael. A lawyer and advocate of great skill and integrity. To so many, a patient and dedicated teacher and mentor. A truly great man who will be greatly missed by all who had the great pleasure of his acquaintance.
