WHAREWAKA, Merita Lorraine (Fatz). Was taken from us suddenly on July 2, 2013. Much loved daughter of Emily Hohaia- Wharewaka (Boom), and the late Francis Anthony Wharewaka (Jude). Treasured sister of Justin, Francis (Jig), Beulah (B), Herana (Hedz), and her twin Te Ewinga (Pee). Loved and adored grandaughter of Emily and Lou Hohaia. Will be sadly missed by her friends, cousins, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and those who knew and loved her. Pounamu Wahine Purotu. To our loving treasure God be with you till we meet again. Always loved and cherished". A church service for Fatz will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel, Hongi Street, Kaikohe today (Friday) at 10am. She will then be taken to Ngati Rua Mahue Marae, Wainui and will remain there until her funeral service which will be held on the marae tomorrow (Saturday) July 6, 2013 at 1pm followed by burial in the Kohutai Cemetery, Mahinepua.
