RENATA, Merita 17 July 1937 - 6 April 2016. Died peacefully surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Te Kaweka (Solly), Mother and Mother-in-law to Sharon (Chicky) and John, Doug and Kerry, Gavin and Liz, Merita and Paul, Fiona and Murray, Anthony, Maryanne and David, Sharlene and Boyce, Joe and Heina and Jason and Rachel and Grandmother to many many mokopuna. Merita is at Kenana marae, service will be held at marae on Saturday 9 April, 11am followed by burial at Waiaua, Hihi.

I've been missing you a lot recently, Nana. I know everyone has. It's been over three years now and still everyone is so saddled with the grief of losing you in this realm. We all miss you and think of you every day. It's still hard but it helps being able to think of the funny little moments. Pa and I spoke about you yesterday and how he even misses taking care of you. He and we love you so much and that will never change.

Never a day goes by that I don't think about you. The grief is still there but fond memories help to bring a smile now where once there were tears. It will be 3 years this Saturday when your physical self was farewelled. My love for you is eternal, and so too is the ache in my heart. Love u 5eva Ma Bub
