MACKIE, Melbon Donald. Died peacefully (in England) after a long illness on 7th July 2025 aged 80 years. Beloved brother of Linda, Julie and Douglas, uncle of Lucy, Luke, Aaron, Carl and Dominic. Funeral service to be held in Devon, England on Monday 28th July 2025. Parkers Funeral Directors Newton Abbot, Devon, UK.

Dear Melbon, Got your message about the diminished seventh chord/aka dominant minor ninth without the root, discussion remembered from lectures sixty years back. And its resolution to the flat submediant. Communication brilliant. A peaceful transition. And fondly remembered. God bless us all.
