Meeuwis BAKKER Obituary

BAKKER, Meeuwis. Passed away at home, in the house he built with his family, on Monday 9th December 2024, surrounded by his family; aged 82 years. Words cannot describe how deeply Pa / Opa will be missed by Corrie, his wife of 64 years, their children and partners Els and Gary, Pieter and Lalita, Arie and Carolyn, Henriette and Gary, Brigitte and Peter. Their grandchildren and partners: Nadia and Adrianne, Emma and Scott, Maaike and Ross, Anika and James, Raj and Jo, Ben and Samantha, Sam, Lenie and Cameron, Elise and Javin, Erik and Mariel, and Johan and Amalia. Their great grandchildren: Ryan, Brooke, Chloe, Leah, Leo, Alex, Amelia, Luka, Arlo, Toby and baby Brooke (due soon). Our sincerest thanks to the staff at both Thames and Waikato hospitals. A very special thank you to Elise Hunt and Lin Bjerring for the amazing professional care and support for Meeuwis. Flowers can be sent to Twentymans Funeral Services, 709 Pollen Street Thames or alternatively, donations may be made to the Seagull Centre Trust (38-9002-0909622-10). A Celebration of life service will be held at St James Union Parish Church, 650 Pollen Street, Thames on Friday 13th December at 2pm, followed by private cremation.
