Sarmiento, May Mabini. 15 May 1962 - 22 July 2025 Beloved wife of David Tighe-Umbers, precious daughter of Conrado Sarmiento and Remedios Mabini, highly regarded sister of Fe, Fidel, Evelio and Lourdes, much-loved Auntie of Bryan, Apple, Fidel John, Miku, and Alex. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Died peacefully at Nelson Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. May she joyfully receive her deserved eternal reward as a precious daughter of the King of Kings. A simple funeral service will be held at Shone & Shirley Funeral Homes, Friday 25 July, 10:00-12:30. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Nelson Tasman Hospice please. May God bless all the special angels at Nelson Tasman Hospice, Ernest Rutherford Rest Home and Nelson Hospital, who worked so lovingly to make May's last weeks peaceful.
