Mavis THROLL Obituary

THROLL, Mavis Isobel (nee Cochrane). Passed away peacefully on 9 April 2025 in her 91st year. Loved mother of Joanne and Shona. Loved Nana of Kim, Anna and Boden and Great Grandmother of Sylvie. Forever in our hearts. Our gratitude to the wonderful caring staff at Bert Sutcliffe and Ward 10 at North Shore Hospital. A service will be held at Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Road, Northcote on Thursday, 24 April at 10am. Please wear colour. In lieu of flowers, those inclined may wish to donate to a charity of their choice.

Dear Mavis, Thank you for the wonderful memories that you recall about serving as one of the referees for the swimming events at the 1974 Commonwealth Games in Christchurch. I can just imagine you cheering on Jaynie Parkhouse to her Gold Medal for the 400 metres freestyle! RIP and just keep singing along with all our other friends who have gone before. Moi.

Everybody at the Bert Sutcliffe Village loved Mavis. I have lovely memories of her over the years always happy, peddle exercising, power walking, clapping and singing to all the music sesssions. R.I.P. Beautiful Mavis.xx Love from Sonya (caregiver SA Dept)
