Mavis, Jack and I in Sydney

Michelle Bellamy

March 10, 2017

I am so sorry to hear this news. It was always so lovely to see Mavis and Jack on my visits to Mum in NZ. I know Mum treasured her time with them while she was alive and thought so much of them both. I had called Mavis a few times in the last couple of years, but I'm not entirely sure she knew who I was last time I called. I suspect she thought I was my mum, which is just fine as long as it made her happy. What a marvellous woman she was - what she didn't know about the family wasn't worth knowing. My deepest condolences to you all,
With much love

On behalf of the Purcell Tappers I would like to send our deepest sympathy to Mavis's family at this time.

Mavis's Auntie Ev was my granny and Mavis's mother my Great Auntie Dot who lived in Papakura when I was a student at Ardmore Training College.

Mavis was a great one for the family get togethers and a delight to meet.

Bruce we met at the funeral for Auntie Cora Millington's daughter, Heather. Just to let you know that you are in my thoughts at this time in the loss of your mother.

Kindest regards from Julie(nee Tapper) and
Eric Sherburd from Tauranga.
