Mavis OATES Obituary

OATES, Mavis Elizabeth, (nee Lindsay) (formerly Duffell). Sadly Mavis passed away on Monday, 29 July 2024. Aged 85. Beloved wife to the late Harold. Much loved mother to Steven, Brian, and Gregory. Mother- in-law to Sharon, Sarah, and Ann. Loving grandmother and great grandmother. A huge thank you to Dr Joseph and the rest of the staff at Waikato Hospital. "You are in our hearts forever" A service to celebrate Mavis will be held in the Rosa Chapel, Tamihana St, Matamata, Tuesday, 6 August, at 11am. All communications to the Duffell and Oates family c/- 6 Tamihana St, Matamata.

Very sorry to hear of Mavis's passing - she was a lovely lady, and did a great job on the radio for many of our gliding competitions. Our love and sympathy to the family. Hugh and Belinda de Lautour. Taupo Gliding Club.
