Maurie RENDLE Obituary
RENDLE, Maurie Leslie. Passed away peacefully on 7th September 2025, aged 91 years. Beloved husband of Marilyn and the late Barbara and Alison. Loving father and father-in-law of Kay and Mark, Scott and Carolyn and the late Dean. Step-father of Rachelle and Jo. Cherished Poppa of Phoebe, Alex and Matthew, Poppa Maurie of Summer, Jamie, Ashlea, Reianna, Travis and Emma. Great Poppa of Lenny. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Susanne and Staff and the late Judith and Ron. A service to celebrate Maurie's life will be held at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany at 10:30am on Friday 12th September. A live stream of the service will be available on the Dil's website. RNZAF Squadron Leader (Retired). Founding Commanding Officer of the Physical Education & Recreational Training School. CEO YMCA Auckland 1973 to 1996. Maurie's dedication and commitment to physical training along with his leadership and vision for health and recreation has left a lasting legacy throughout the services and the YMCA.

Very sad to hear of his passing - it does farewell an initiating leader and era of the YMCA history.
