A Celtic Farewell

When we lose someone we love
It seems life stands still.
What moves us through
Is a silence,
A quiet sadness,
A longing for one more day,
One more word,
One more touch.
We may not understand why you left this earth so soon
Or why you went before we were ready to say goodbye.
But little by little
We begin to remember
Not just that you have died,
But that you have lived
And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
We will meet again some day in another place.
Where there are no partings
And a place where there
Are no words that mean
Goodbye
RIP Maureen
Much love to all your family.

Maureen..it´s your Irish cousin here Kevin..the one that plays the guitar. I came all the way out to see you & all the Family 10yrs ago 2015. You took me down to Patumahoe to your sister Jean & Pete´s house the Brady bunch you spread the news that I was looking for a guitar & your sister Kathleen´s Son-in law had one that he kindly lent to me. Got the guitar the next day Maureen took me in Poke in her very flash white Mazda car to the music shop for a new set of strings...well!..when I put the strings on..that´s when the 7 week party started!..she took me everywhere up to her Dear Mum Ellen´s Farm where I met Ellen Annie & Kathleen..(I wrote a song for Ellen when I got home called Ellen´s porch which Maureen loved.. think they still play it yet!) she took me to see her Brother Patrick & his wife Jan all beautiful people on their lovely Farm. We sung many many songs..it´s a good job I had the guitar..as I think it was holding me up..as the parties increased. I met all the Friday Nite Girls.. I fell in love with all of them!..(all friends of Maureen) Maureen I will never forget you!..your smile was like the morning Sun..it breathed life into us all. I sent all my condolences to all the Family especially Staci Rick..Keely Ciaran & Lennon & all the Friday Nite Girls & all of Maureen´s friends..that I never met...All my Love..Kevin Sláinte!..
