Hello Foote Family,
I'm saddened to learn of Maureens passing, she and Colin shared a wonderful friendship with Mum and Dad one I know they valued deeply. I remember fondly the days of staying on the farm in our old bus - my first time learning to ride a motorbike and shoot rabbits. Please accept my condolences, my thoughts are with you at this sad time.

"Aunty Maureen" as the Burr kids affectionate called her, played a huge part in our growing up in TePuna. Always available to be there for her family and friends, Maureen and Colin along with mum and dad ( Avis and Gordon) provided the background safety and limits to give us `kids´ a magical childhood. Whether it was working on the farm, gathering blackberries, hunting for pigs or deer, fishing or celebrating special occasions, we were given the luxury of a healthy lifestyle- love of nature, appreciation of the simple things in life, strict boundaries, love and friendship that could be depended on no matter what. What a life Maureen lived. It´s the end of an era.... We are the "oldies" now. May our legacy be just as rich in experiences and love.
