It is with a very sad heart that I compose this message. James and I were shocked to hear of Maureen's illness. I have such wonderful memories of a very dear friend going back 70 years when we were both 4 years old and we started school together. We spent many happy years together growing up. When Maureen moved to Auckland we still kept in touch and visited. I was thrilled to be asked to be Maureen's bridesmaid when she married the love of her life Terry. When James and I moved to Australia Maureen and I still kept up our friendship. Countries kept us apart but we were always in each others thoughts. She was a very special dear friend, and I will always treasure the friendship and love we had for each other. I visited Maureen and Terry on 30th and 31st July 2017, it was the most precious and special time ever. My love to you Maureen, you are now out of pain and in God's loving care. Terry you have always been a like a brother and are very much loved by us both. Our very sincere sympathy to you, Jeff, Jackie, Greg and their families. You will all be in our thoughts tomorrow.
