Matt

I only spoke to you a week or so before you passed.
Your brother came to see me today to sort out
" yet another of Matts cars" :)
And I was rather stunned to hear about your death.
We certainly shared some stories when you came to see me at work, and fixed up your collection of many vehicles
Rest in peace my dear friend. Ill miss your banter, terrible jokes and general good humour . You certainly endured a tough time and now its time for you to rest up in petrol head heaven
My deepest sympathies to all of Matt's family and many friends.

Forever in my thoughts dear Matty, was such a pleasure to have you in my life, so many memories, I wish I could have done more to help you in the end but so glad we got an extra few months with you and that time was super special and a gift for your dear mates. Your strength and bravery over the last few weeks was incredible, you fought so hard to stay here for your beloved Jack and Alyssa. I was so happy to see you being so loved and cared for by your dear friends the Saunders family who took you in as one of their own in your most time of need without hesitation. Again that is a reflection of who you were Matty with your huge heart of gold, we all knew you would do the same for us. Matty you were so loved my so many people. Fly high my friend and watch over us. I know you will be walking with me at our beautiful beach, love from Jacqui (Jax)

PATTEN, Matthew Walter (Matt). Born March 05, 1971. Passed away on March 31, 2020. Matty, Some friends come and go And some friends share your life forever. From kids through to adulthood, we survived some tough journeys and travelled down a few sad roads, but we also shared much happiness, joy and fun over the years. The bond we shared was based on love and trust. We always had each others back. I am truly grateful to call you my friend. Love you like a brother, Carl. From Our Circle of Friends, We will never stop saying your name or telling your story. We will make sure you are always remembered. You came to live with us under such sad circumstances, but having you with us over the past few months is a time in our life that we will never forget, you were so brave and we are honoured to have been able to share that precious time with you. You will always be a part of our bubble and forever a treasured part of our family. Safe journeys Matty. Love Carl, Sharon, Kiel, Diane, Ted (Late) & Gavin (Late) Saunders.
