Mata'afa TALAMAIVAO Obituary

TALAMAIVAO, Mata'afa Leauga Fa'avesi. 7th September 1954 - 12th May 2022. Passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family, at 67 years of age. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Fay Maria (nee Hutchinson) of 42 years. Greatly loved father and father-in-law of Sergio, Fa'avesi, John-Makatui and Rebecca, Fa'asasalu and Niko Koligi, Tavita and Lisale; much loved papa to Maria (Koligi); Aniva, Kaia, Solana and Tolani-Leauga (Talamaivao). Also loved son-in-law of Marie Kalabha. There will be a family service for Leauga at the E.F.K.S church (Congregational Christian Church of Samoa), 39 Havelock Avenue, Highbury, Palmerston North, on Saturday 14th May at 5.00pm A funeral service will again be held at the E.F.K.S church on Monday 16th May at 10.00am followed by his burial at Kelvin Grove Cemetery. Elder Tavita Fa'avesi (FT penisione) and Moevaolemauasamoa Talamaivao (both deceased); cherished brother and brother-in-law of Saisului (deceased) and Kiasi Mamea (Palmerston North), Tulua and Taumatamu Namulaulu (Australia), Fa'avesi and Silvana (Auckland), Helen and David Medora (Palmerston North), Rev. Peteru (penisione) and Faititilipatasi-Jane Tone (Hamilton), Leighton (deceased) and Raymond Fryer (Palmerston North), Williamson-Tuimanu'a (Palmerston North), John- Makatui (deceased), Puamemea and Stephen Chibangula (Zambia), Matthew-Tavita and Leigh (Wellington), Manuatu and Akisa (Nelson), and Filipo and Eseta (Coromandel). Also special sister Faauli Moea'i (Auckland). Loved by his many nephews and nieces, and extended family. Will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Manuia lou Malaga.
