So many happy memories of our two families growing up. We had 7 children between us and at one stage they were 1,2,3,4,5,6,&7 years of age so we had the full gamut of human emotion...fun, tears, tantrums and laughter! Many Xmases were spent together in Kauri and we were always welcomed with a spirit of loving generosity.
Our love and sympathy to Simon, Andrew, Damian,Peter & Nicholas
RIP dear Mary

When Mary & Simon moved in across the road from us they immediately became part of "Rent-a-Crowd", fully participating in pétanque, Bookclub, wine group, golf, dinners, Christmas carols and more. Mary was the consummate hostess, the door always open, the cake tins full, room for more at the table and her welcoming smile with a little dance of excitement. If she was running late (which was often!) it was usually because she had popped an extra cake or batch of muffins into the oven to bring. We have nothing but fondest memories of a wonderful neighbour and friend. Alison & Ray Welson

I´m so sorry to hear this sad news, Mary was a great friend in my early adult years and later in Crane Road Kauri. Great memories of us as young parents learning together.
Thinking of you all.

Wright, Mary Catherine.
So sad to read of Mary's passing. Mary was a wonderful friend and valued and dedicated volunteer of community organizations on Waiheke, especially the Waiheke Community Art Gallery. We all shared in her beautiful baking, generous hospitality and lively humility, a treasure who will be sadly missed. Sincere condolences to Simon and family. Linda Chalmers and Graham Shoebridge.
