WHITE, Mary. On December 9, 1981. In loving memory of Mary White on the 40th anniversary of her death. Beloved wife of the late Eric. Cherished mother of Mary-Louise, Paul, Liz, Catherine, Anne, John and Sarah. Her memory lives on in all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I grew up in Onehunga and remember your mother well. She was such a little belt person, open and friendly. I was taught to play tennis by her father Pat Henehan. He and his wife were great friends of my parents. Mary was a few years older than me but I remember the sadness I felt when I heard how ill she was. I was so thrilled to see this notice in the Herald and know her family have grown up. Mary was indeed a very special lady
