Mary and Mate were two of the loveliest people to walk on this earth. They were both genuine and "Salt of the Earth" characters. They were both well loved by ouselves and our parents, Ljubomir and Norma Unkovich.

We have only just heard of Marys passing today and are deeply sorry we did not know in time for the funeral.

We wish her family all the best through this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Richard and Lou Unkovich and family.

The the Unkovich Family,

Our families have been connected for many years, with the friendship of my grandparents Arthur and Liz and my parents Pam and Keith. Mary had always continued commuincation over the years when we moved from Auckland to Australia more than 40 years ago. Mary's support continued with the death of my dear father last year and my phone conversations directly since his death. A beautiful lady, a heart of gold. May you rest in peace. Love from the Lisa Barlow, with my mother Pam, sister Belinda and brother Chris.

It is still hard to believe Mary won't be with us anymore. I know that many people will deeply feel her passing as I. Mary gave her love and through her deeds greatly enhanced our lives. She has been dedicated to others well beyond family and friendship as her life-long journey. A truly inspirational woman, who made the world a better place.

I miss you Mary and wish you love in your eternity with Mate!

We never met Mary, but we knew her through our daughter and sister Natasha, who always dearly speaks of her. We were very sorry to hear about Mary's passing, and we wanted to extend our condolences to Mary's family. We are enormously grateful to Mary and Mate for looking after our daughter Natasha and helping her to start her new life in New Zealand.
We are truly sorry that Mary will not be around any longer for her family and friends.
Sincerely,
Jure and Radojka Blazic, and Maja Blazic-Kosinc

Mary is an angel who descended on Earth to help us and guide us with her love. And when her mission has finished, she returned back to the beautiful stars where she had come from.

Mary and Mate are the most generous people I knew. Although they did not know me at all 19 years ago, they brought me to New Zealand during the war in Croatia. They gave me home and treated me like their own daughter.

To me, Mary is more than a mother and friend, she is my guardian angel. Although I know that her beauty and soul are eternal, I will greatly miss her Earthly presence. With her departure, I feel that a part of me is gone, there is emptiness and sadness in my soul that nobody and nothing will ever be able to replace.

My angel, you will be forever missed!
