STOKES, Mary Margaret Patricia (Pat). On 13th March 2024, peacefully at Hilda Ross Home in Hamilton; in her 99th year. Dearly loved sister of the late Rob Stokes, and sister-in-law of Marien. Loved aunt of Tim and Andrea; Jane and Judy; and Henry and Kevin. Loved great-aunt of Emma, Maddie, Holly, Sarah, and Sophie. "A long life well lived." Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 494 Grey Street, Hamilton East on Wednesday 20th March 2024 at 1:30pm. Followed by private cremation. All correspondence to the 'Stokes Family', C/- James R. Hill, 717 Grey Street, Claudelands, Hamilton 3216.

Kay Asplin from the Kay Family and Jane Stokes was my Nana

I remember dear Patty as Aunty Rita and my Nana Jane Stokes/Kay called her that must have been from their childhood. ,
Such an awesome lady and I have just read this notice with sadness as I havent been in touch with Patty since my Aunty Rita Kay died as they both belonged to the Country Womens Institute and did the Bus trips together which sometimes I went along with them too. . And I do remember Patty working at the Public Trust for years and worked there with a with a friend of mine Barbara Hawkins. And she got to the amazing grand age of 99 wow didnt she do well. So sorry to hear of Pattys passing but not soon enough to get to her funeral. I do remember Marian and my Mums name was Ella Roseina Kay. Would love to see the service sheet if you can email that to me at [email protected] that would be so nice of you thank you. Such fond memories of a wonderful lady from Kay Asplin nee Kay and family.
