I´m so sorry to hear of Louise´s passing. She had a heart of gold, and was always a lively character. I met her playing petanque at Park Ave Petanque Club back in 1999, and found her a keen player and supporter of the game over the years and the many tournaments we played in and against each other.
Many didn´t realise that Louise also had a keen legal mind and only saw the zany side of her - with her bleached frizzy hair (which always gave me Sharon 0´Neal vibes) and the gravelly voice.
She was always a great dinner companion - particularly at the Masterton tournaments where we´d go out and eat after the day´s matches and share a bottle of red wine.
Go well Louise - you´re free at last. And don´t forget to say hello to the other petanque fraternity who likely ready to welcome you to the big piste in the sky.
My sincerest sympathies to Louise´s family
