Mary SHORT Obituary

SHORT, Mary Died peacefully on 5 July 2014 aged 90. Loved daughter of the late Joseph and Annabella Short; sister and sister-in-law of the late Archie, Joe and Willie Short and their wives; Aunt and great Aunt of her many nieces and nephews, their partners and their children. Many people will be grateful for her loving care. Mary is lying with family in Westmere, Auckland. Visitors are welcome (contact 09 360 8023 for details). Funeral service at Ponsonby Baptist Church, Jervois Road, Auckland at 1.30pm, Tuesday 8 July. "Let my soul be at rest again, for The Lord has been good to me". Psalm 116

Very much loved and treasured Aunty Mary of Isabelle. I am so privileged she has been such an integral part of my life. Her influence has been profound and has played a huge role in forming who I am. So loved and so missed.

On behalf of Paenua and June Tutara, and their whanau, we acknowledge the life of our wonderful Miss Short. At 75, Paenua still remembers Mary as a beautiful woman who loved his parents, who was devout and who was their Sunday School teacher, and she also taught cousins at Helensville Primary. She made a lasting impression on our whanau and one of our sisters is named Mary in her honour. Our love and best wishes to the Short family, especially Bruce and all the nieces, nephews and whanau. Arohanui.

Great-Aunt of William, Olivia and Georgina, and Nathaniel. We treasure memories of a very special Aunt.

Our lives will not quite be same without our precious Mary. We have been blessed to have had your friendship over the years. You will be sorely missed.
