I cannot believe that Mary and her sister Jane have passed away. I last met them when their Mum (Nancy) was unwell. They were two very lovely young girls and I was only about 10 and older than them. We played with their scooters and had a lot of fun. We also enjoyed boating on the Whangarei harbour with their Mum and Dad (Dowl, who had been a school friend of my father). Unfortunately our families lost touch after Nancy's death so I had not seen them since then.

McMULLEN, Mary Anne. Remember the nights after boat racing, playing cards, eating chocolate and drinking Lynton's rum? We shared a middle name, the same birth date and that infamous Taurean determination. I knew a birthday card would come from you always signed 'love and sunshine'. We haven't spent a lot of time together the last few years but you were always interested in what we were all doing and especially once our grandchildren were born. You will be sadly missed. Love and Sunshine Always, Pam, Ross, Lance and Family, Dean and Shane.

McMULLEN, Mary (nee Bolton). Passed away 4 February in Warkworth. Loved daughter of the late Nan and Dowl Bolton, sister of the late Jane Bolton Hall. Dearly loved niece of Jean and the late Brian Dickinson. Special cousin of Don, Allan, Jan and the late Stuart Dickinson and their families.
