Mary Howard Obituary
Mary M. Howard, 80, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in Close to Home Personal Care, Bolivar. She was born Sunday, March 13, 1927, in Millwood, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles and Alberta (Parks) Brewer. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in West Bolivar. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Sue Garland and her husband, Thomas, of Bolivar; two grandsons, Jay Garland and his wife, Melissa, and Eric Todd Garland and his wife, Carrie; twin great-grandchildren, Michael and Rachael Garland; two sisters, Josephine Carlson, of Derry, and Nellie Crites, of Ohio; and three brothers, Walter Brewer, of Latrobe, Wilbert Brewer, of Derry, and David Brewer, of Youngstown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay D. Howard, in 1987; three sisters, Jane Short, Rachel Picard and Helen Leccia; two brothers, William and Harry Brewer, and triplet siblings lost at birth. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the J. PAUL MCCRACKEN FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 536 Market St., Bolivar, where her life will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday with Evangelist Jack C. Prentice officiating. Interment will follow in the Bolivar Westview Cemetery.
