Mary CULLEN Obituary

CULLEN, Mary Diana (formerly Sargent, nee Mills). Died peacefully at Linda Jones Village, Hamilton, on 28 August 2025 aged 93. Much loved wife of the late Jack Sargent and subsequently of the late Frank Cullen. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Mary Anne Liddington and Kerry Thompson, Susan and Chris Bowkett, Liz and Gerald White, Peter and Linda Sargent, Megan Sargent and Wil Short. Loved Nana of Sian, Joseph, Declan, Reuben, Frances, Louis, leuan and Riki. Mary was the 6th of 13 children and family and community were always at the centre of her rich and rewarding life. She will be sadly missed. She was an accomplished artist and florist who always enjoyed vibrantly coloured clothes, we'd love you to celebrate her life by wearing something colourful to her farewell. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Linda Jones Village, Flagstaff for their excellent, attentive and loving care of our Mum. They were good years. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at the Matamata All Saints Church, Hohaia Street on Thursday 4 September at 11am. The service will be live- streamed please refer to funeralhome.co.nz.
