Dear Andrew and family, my deepest sympathy. Mary was a warm and engaging woman and will be greatly missed. I was so happy to be able to meet up again in Ethiopia a few years ago, and will remember her fondly.

Dear Andrew, Melissa and Hayden
I have today been with you in spirit as I watched here in Melbourne the live stream of Mary's funeral service. I share your sorrow at the loss of such a beautiful person. I was privileged to share a wonderful friendship with Mary for more than 65 years, from the time we first met at the start of our secondary schooling in Timaru. This friendship lasted though the years even though we lived i different countries for much of that time. We are all going to miss her presence.
My love to you all.

Dear Andrew and family
I was saddened to learn of Mary's death. I have fond memories of times spent with you in your Wellington years and of many wonderful meals enjoyed together. Jacqui and I had visited you in Auckland and Waiheke a few times.
I will hold dear my memories of a wonderful person.
With sympathy and warm wishes

Dear Andrew and Family, I have known Mary all her life and love the beautiful soul she was. Gentle, kind, intelligent, adventurous, a great nurse and teacher, fabulous family member, wonderful wife and mother, so many attributes I could add. Brian and I remember our times together in Wellington and I go back to sharing holidays in Timaru.
To Phillipa and Horst also our love and sympathy. We are grateful to have had Mary in our lives.

Dear Andrew and family,
I was saddened to hear via Dame Margaret Sparrow that Mary had succumbed to Altzheimers and died peacefully. I send my deepest sympathy to you all. We were Playcentre Mums all those years ago in Brooklyn, Wellington. Also she pointed me in the direction of Family Planning when I was returning to nursing, and again I replaced her role at Mary Potter Hospice. We enjoyed many times together, and I valued her friendship. Best regards,
Gaye Robertson.
