My name is, Bryn Jones, Rob and I were friends way back then. That's where I met Martin, he was playing in a 4 piece band at Northcote College. His brother Rob played the bass. They played Rolling Stones stuff, and a song called Gloria. Martin made a guitar, sort of a Rickenbarker, Lennon type. I traded my drums for it. Have no idea where it is now. I'm really sorry to hear about Martin. A very good guitarist. Memories of the good old days.

Will always have memories of our youth, The long weekend you drove all the way down to Hot Water Beach in your Moms Morris Minor, So we could 'heal the absence' of our Mutual friend Ian Gavet, We were good mates for each other, at that Time, Seventeen and Eighteen year olds that could share together, Loved meeting you at the "Northcote Bus Stop" We would go off to your 'Gigs' together, Thank you Martin, for those Beautifully 'Simple' Memories, And Much Love and Peace to all your family Jennifer Holmes

The years since we were kids playing on the Birkenhead United soccer team went by in a flash, I can't get my head around the fact that when I come home to NZ for a visit I wont be able to swing by and catch up. You were a great and loyal friend and a fantastic guitarist, of who's talent I was constantly in awe of. I will miss you, I wish you could see the outpouring of love from your friends and loved ones, if a mans wealth is judged by the love he leaves behind.... Martin you are a wealthy man.
Love you,
Gav

To a superb musician and a gentleman ~ Martin,
I am so incredibly grateful for the life lessons in the time that I had the privilege to know you, to sing with you and to share the joys, the laughs and woes. Your memory will continue to live on Martin, through the legacy of your music, through those you loved and through the lives that you touched with your gift. Manuia lou Malaga. Alofa tele atu.
