Dear Martin. Your performance on the stage of life was brave and inspiring. Now you've taken your last bow and the curtain has fallen, but you linger in my thoughts and I will always cherish knowing you. Thank you. Sarah Jesensek

I'm so sorry to see that my friend, Martin, has passed away. We met each other, while I was living in Wes End Road, Grey Lynn, and he was living down below in Great North Road. It was awesome that I could connect with someone like Martin, as he was quite an intelligent man ... and I like meeting other intelligent and intellectual people, as I am one too. He was very kind but firm with me, telling me off (should I have needed it). The last time we met, I was at Aunty Dorothy/Sister Charles' funeral service in Glendowie; my Aunt was a Mercy Sister with her, as well as being friends.
Thank you Martin for your friendship. I will always cherish it, wherever I go. Arohanui Mahuika xxxx
