Martin SUTTON Obituary

Very sorry to hear about Martin´s passing. Martin taught me German literature at the University of Auckland in the early and mid-1980s. He was an inspirational teacher, and I learned an enormous amount from him. I will always hold very special memories of his lectures on Rilke and in particular Grimms´ tales, an area in which he made an international mark for himself. The knowledge and wisdom that Martin imparted in the latter lectures were a guiding light for me when I taught the Grimms´ tales myself several years later. My condolences to Martin´s family and friends.
