Mark, so many lovely memories of you as a kid and then your teenage years and your marraige to Joy and then being able to watch you become a father to the boys and then following your career and subsequent move overseas. We loved you mate.Gary and Margo Townsend.xxxx

I have known Mark, for nearly all of my working life at Oracle in excess of 20 years. He was a friend as well as a colleague, and will be missed by many.

I was lucky to have known Mark. He had a unique mind -- bright, thoughtful, intelligent and insightful. He was supportive and decent to his colleagues and team. He will be missed in ways that cannot be imagined.

Mark, what a huge loss your passing is to those whose lives you have touched so deeply.
I will remember you from when I was a kid, as 'my oldest boy cousin' - who was clever and did things with computers, and of whom our Nan was so so proud.
As an adult I will remember you, and miss you, as the person I got to know a little more in recent times, and who I thought was clever and kind and funny and real.
Rest happy Mark, you will be sorely missed, and for many the world will just not be the same without you in it.

I worked with Mark at Oracle-- I owe him my current career. I was lucky to have numbered him among my friends and mentors... he was a remarkable man and will be mourned.

Mark was one of those great people that made a difference in many people's lives. He will be missed in the tech world. He was also a great person to be around!
