Mark SINCLAIR Obituary

SINCLAIR, Mark Lanham. Born Otahuhu, Auckland 8 April 1949. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 24 February 2026 at Thames Hospital. Eldest son of the late Keith and Mary Sinclair (nee Land). Beloved brother and brother- in-law of Cameron and Jacqueline, Stephen and Lisa, and Harry and Paola. Cherished husband of Leslie Vyfhuis. Devoted father and father-in-law of Caitlin and Timothy Christensen, Thomas and Kieran. Proud grandfather of Isobel and Dylan. A gentle soul, ruthless chess player, lover of books and fair- weather gardener. He maintained his passion for psychology and the welfare of children and their families to the end. A service to celebrate Mark's life will be held on Monday 2 March 2026, in The North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Waikato or Cancer Society NZ would be appreciated.
