Happy 60th Birthday, gone but never forgotten

Mark, you came into my life because you made my mother so happy, and made us all happy with the way you were.

I wish we had more time together but the time we did have was special to all of us.

The boys loved spending time with you and you gave them so much too.

We will miss you everyday.


I am glad there is no more pain as you didn't deserve that pain. Cancer sucks!

We travelled together through life for 24 years. In that time we had 4 homes, 4 businesses, 3 children and welcomed our first grand daughter. We shared good times, bad times, happy times and sad times. We grew as a couple and as individuals , our lives will be forever entwined through our children, sleep well, enjoy the fishing, Claire

At aged 59 years, you were to young to go. Thank you for being my brother and all the years that we grew up and thank you for being a Uncle to my son to your youngest nephew. He will remember all the trips and things that you did together. You were like a father to your nephew. We will always remember you everyday, we will never forget you.

Mark, you captured my heart with your share determination and passion for life, and I have been privileged to see the many sides of you.

You had to leave this life too soon, and have left a huge hole in my heart, but you have filled my life with so many wonderful memories that I will cherish forever.

You could not give this life more time, so you gave the time you had left MORE LIFE!

RICHARDS, Mark Shane Roy. Aged 59, after a long and brave battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on a beautiful Auckland afternoon on Monday 11 May 2020. Much loved dad of Jono, Aaron and Emma Jane, father in law of Emma and Courtney, poppa of Scarlett and loved by many many more. You were taken from us too early dad and we miss you incredibly already. Rest easy dad, you earnt it. Make sure you give nana a big hug from us xx
