Sitting here today knowing a great many people will also be mourning our great friend and fellow Norton rider Mark. A huge emptiness has been created, his wit, enthusiasm and camaraderie will be missed for a long, long time. My sympathy goes to Steph and family, and to his closest mates.

Unbelievable loss, unforgettable man...our hearts are heavy but will always be joyous when we think of Mark. We were lucky and honored to have known him. He'll always be along with us when we ride our Nortons.

Steph, we know your love for Mark was true because you generously shared him with all his mates around the world. He spoke of you often during his visits with us here in the U.S.A.

Dear Mark, thank you for all the outrageously funny emails, and the joy you brought to my Craigs family. I only met you a few times but felt I knew you well from the uncounted funny and heart warming stories which have been told on this side of the Tasman and that. You left an incredible impression on all you met, and you will be remembered always with great love in our family. You truly are a legend with the biggest of hearts, and there can surely be no better legacy to leave behind.

I went back to my first e-mails with Mark in early 2011 when he and Iain planned to come to the Norton Rally in New York state. No one knew what we were in for. We got used to the day before undies tied off the back of the bike drying. The humour that was so in scissor, and the kindness and generosity that was unique to Mark. He made everyone he met feel like they were the most important person in the world, and you wanted to be in his world. No one was a better ambassador for Norton Motorcycles in the world than Mark. We are grateful for his presence, and his willingness to give. Steph, that is what he did with your gracious allowance. WE owe everything to you. Although not your hobby, you gave us Mark, and we are eternally grateful.

Dear Steph, I am so sorry for your loss and can only imagine how you feel. I too am mourning Mark's passing and am thinking about what a loss this is to us all who new him. However I am also thinking about what a great person he was and have great memories of riding to club rallies with him. Of course he was such an orator displaying endless wit and humour. And he could also be serious when needed. I also appreciated his patience as he would turn back and wait when my Norton stopped again. While this is only scratching the surface when I think about Mark I think Comaraderie.
RIP Dear Mark.
