I have only just heard the news of Mark's passing and it is a reminder that we need to make more effort to stay in touch with the special people we meet in our lives. I count Mark as one of those - not because I knew him for very long but because from the first moment I met him I was uplifted by his positivity, his enthusiasm and his generosity of spirit. Mark it was a privilege to have known you - your infectious love of life will be something I will always remember.

I will miss your boundless energy and caring and kind heart. No matter what was going on in your life you always had time to to ask "how are you doing ..... really" and you truly wanted to know. I will miss you Mark.

Today while looking for an obituary of a friend who passed away earlier this week I came across this Obituary for Mark. I went to Scots College in the 1970s and his Dad, Bill , was our Headmaster (and an ordinary Rugby Coach, we were pretty useless then). So my only memories of Mark were when he and Erica were likely preschool and lived in the Headmasters Houseand they were always following their Mum and Dad around. So of course we never really knew each other but you don't necessarily have to for someone's passing to evoke lots of memories and, of course when it is untimely, sadness.

A life taken too soon of a man who lived life to the full. Condolences to my good friend Jodi, as well as Mark's family and friends. I know Mark will be missed a lot by Jodi, Jet and all those who loved him. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of your friends and family.
