Mark GILLINGS Obituary

GILLINGS, Mark Daniel. Of Arthurs Point, Queenstown. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday the 12th of November 2017, after a short illness. Beloved husband and father to Pip and Andie, cherished son and brother to Douglass, Hilary, Amanda and Carolyn. Much loved son-in- law to Sheila and the late Garth. A celebration of Mark's life will be held at Gantleys Restaurant, 172 Arthurs Point Road, Queenstown, at 2.00pm on Monday the 20th of November followed by a private cremation. Kua tae te kapua o te pouritanga. Haere e hoa, haere ki te wa kainga o to tupuna, haere ki te matua o te rangi. Haere haere haere.So very sad and shocked to hear about Marks passing these several weeks later. Blessed to have known him and honored to have had the pleasure of working him. GILLINGS, Mark Daniel. 1964 -2017. Darling only son of Doug and Hilary. Dearly loved and respected brother and brother-in-law of Amanda and David, Carolyn and Stuart. Loved uncle of Emma, William, Alice, and Lucy. Passed away with courage and dignity in Queenstown surrounded by the mountains he so loved. He will be sadly missed.
