Marion JONES Obituary

JONES, Marion (nee Bentley). It is with great sadness that we announce Marion took her last breath here on earth on Wednesday 28th August 2024. Words cannot describe the heartbreak and devastation that we are feeling. Loving wife of Warwick, mum and mother-in-law of Simon and Abby, Natalie and Rob, Matthew and Bronwyn. A very proud Nana of Cooper, Mason, Carter, Madison, Stella, Angus and Phoebe. A celebration of Marion's life will be held at St Philip's Anglican Church, 92 St Heliers Bay Road, St Heliers on Thursday 5th September at 1pm. All are warmly welcome. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations are please made to Hato Hone St John, a organisation close to Marion's heart.

Warwick and family. Sorry I couldn't be with you today. I did watch the funeral online though. I hope you find peace in the knowledge that Marion is with the Lord now. Sending love and prayers to you all from Canterbury.

I first meet Marion at St Georges Anglican Church Landscape Road Papatoetoe, then again, we met up at Papatoetoe High School, I found her a kind and caring person and I am so sorry that she has gone, words don't seem to say enough, may you find peace in the memories you hold. Good friends are hard to find, in a lifetime you only get a few. These special friends bring out your inner strengths, uplift your soul and make you feel blessed to have had them in your life.
Marion was in my life for over 60 years but will now remain in my memories forever. It was a pleasure to be her bridesmaid 50 years ago and regard her as a pseudo sister. I´ll miss her presence and beautiful smile at our "3 sister lunches" with Jocelyn.
Rest In Peace my dear friend. X
