To Dorothy and the family of the late Martin Shale, our deepest sympathies on the passing of a wonderful and caring man, who touched our hearts and cheered us up with his many funny stories on life and fishing experiences, a skilled and gifted cabinetmaker, a huge loss to us all. We will miss your booming voice and laugh and smile, we all learnt a lot from knowing you Martin, rest in peace, regards Anthony and Willow Chan

Condolences to Dorothy and the whole Shale family from ours. Marin was larger than life and will be missed by so many. SHALE, Marin. Passed away 30th September 2024. Our journey together was complicated and now it is complete. We learn some things and we leave some things behind. We are running ahead with all the good stuff and we are better for it. Love Alenka, Tony, Wilson, Prue and Millie.

SHALE, Marin James (Martin)(Osit). On 30 September 2024, died peacefully at Mercy Hospice, College Hill, Auckland aged 84. Much loved husband to Dorothy. Father of Veronica, Alenka, Lauren, Kaalene, Annabel and James. Father-in-law to Jayne, Corey, Matthew, Martin, Allan and Tony. Dida of Jessica, Henrik, Freddie, Gabrijel, Jozeph, Abbie, Thomas, Wilson, Millie and Prue. Special thanks to the health care professionals at Auckland Hospital and those that cared for Marin at home. Heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary team at Mercy Hospice who so lovingly looked after Marin during his final days. A celebration of Marin's life will be held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 19 Banff Ave, Epsom Auckland on Monday 7 October 2024 at 11 am. SHALE, Marin (Osit). Dearly loved brother to Jakov and brother-in-law to Angela. Cherished uncle to James (wife Anna), Steven (partner Beth), and Alicia (husband Rau). SHALE, Marin. In loving memory of our dear friend and Life Member of the Dalmatinsko Kulturno Drustvo, Marin dedicated many years as a Management Committee member, serving as Treasurer for several of those years. His commitment to the day-to-day operations of the Society was unwavering. As our beloved handyman and Bar Manager, he had a unique ability to make everyone feel at ease and welcome. Marin you will forever remain in our hearts, and your stories will continue to bring smiles to our faces. Thank you for everything; you will always be remembered fondly by all the members.
