Marie TOWNSHEND Obituary

TOWNSHEND, Marie Gertrude. J.P. Peacefully at the Booms lodge, Thames, on 22nd April, 2017; in her 84th year. Dearly loved wife and best friend for the past 65 years of Gray. Much loved Mum of Ross, Mark, and Gary. Cherished Nana of Fiona, Fraser, Michelle, Richard, Julie, Scott, Sarah, Elizabeth and Cameron, and Great-Nana of 7. 'The 65 year honeymoon is over'. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Marie's life to be held in the Ngatea War Memorial Hall, Main Road, Ngatea, tomorrow Wednesday, 26th April (Marie and Gray's 65th Wedding Anniversary), at 11am, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service or posted to PO Box 5720, Hamilton. Messages to: 15 Walton Place, Ngatea 3503.

TOWNSHEND, Marie Gertrude. Just the most supportive and loving Mum of Mark and Diane. Nana, in every sense, to Michelle and Rob Sinclair, Richard, Julie and Stephen Loft, and Scott and Brenna. Great Grandmother to Scarlett and Harriet, Kate and Jack, and Ollie and Stella. Oh how those little people could still light up your eyes and smile. Rest Mum, we will collectively look after Dad.
