O'LEARY, Marie Burfield (nee Spear). 10 May 1928 - 5 June 2017 Passed away peacefully in her 90th year at Taupo Hospital surrounded by her family. Dearly loved wife of Pat (deceased) and treasured mother and mother-in-law of Colleen and Derek Westerman, Shane (deceased), and Bernadette and Ian McGillivray. Dearly loved grandma of Ben and Yvette, Sam and Jasmine and Matt and Holly Westerman and Grace and Callum McGillivray. Very proud Gran- Gran of Jayla, Heidi, Odin, Finn, Mia, Annabelle and the brand new Pippa. A beautiful lady now at peace. Sincere thanks to the Ward staff and ED staff at Taupo Hospital for their wonderful compassion and care of Mum over the last few weeks. You are all fantastic! Mum will be at Derek and Colleen's home until she is taken to St Patrick's Church, Acacia Bay Rd, Taupo for the service at 10.00am on Thursday 8th June. This will be followed by burial at the RSA section of the Lawn Cemetery in Rickit Street. In lieu of flowers, Mum wished for donations be made to Lake Taupo Hospice (Inc) P O Box 950, Taupo or may be left at the service.
