Marie CHILD Obituary

CHILD, Marie Jean. Peacefully at home on 28 April 2018, her 93rd birthday. Dearly loved wife of the late Bryan Child. Loved mother, mother- in-law, grandmother and great grandmother of Leslie & Avril, Wayne & Donna and Judith & Mike Gibson; adoring grandmother of Cameron & Anita, Elizabeth & Greg, Kelsey, Natalie & Chris, Sharna & Nick, Mark & Anna and Hanna & Seamus and her great grandsons Jake, Ollie, Scott, Tane, Thomas, Hunter, Archie & Leo. A service will be held in the Chapel of Morris & Morris Funerals (entrance 17 Western Hills Drive, Whau Valley, Whangarei) at 11 am on Thursday 3rd May 2018; followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to North Haven Hospice, P O Box 7050, Whangarei 0144 would be appreciated. All communications to the Child Family c/- P O Box 8043, Kensington, Whangarei 0145. Now you get to dance with your beloved Bryan, again.

Marie was a very lovely lady who I only knew through our business relationship but I looked forward to every six months popping up to her place to pick up her car and have a little chat. She was always happy and often had her hair in rollers because she combined the WOF with the day she stayed home to have her hair done. I will miss her. Thank you Wayne for introducing us.

Marie was a long standing and dearest friend to our mum (Kath Walters) and they recently shared a lovely lengthy conversation with lots of laughs as they were both turning 93. Our deepest sympathy to you all. From the Walters Family.
