Marie BLACK Obituary

Marie became our art specialist at Papatoetoe Intermediate in 1996 until she retired. We were most fortunate to have her teaching our students as she was hard working, dedicated and an inspiring teacher.The students really loved going to her classes where they could express themselves in art and forget their personal troubles. She was a caring and thoughtful person who was a real team player with our specialist team and was a supportive member of our staff.

I am a teaching colleague of Marie's. We taught together at Cloverpark and Papatoetoe Intermediates both in the Specialists area.
Marie was a talented art teacher and a wonderful teaching colleague. She was an excellent team player and a kind considerate person.
A lovely gentle soul.
We had many moments together where Marie spoke fondly of her darling daughters Lynelle and Sherylene.
So many happy memories of beautiful gentle artistic soul.
Rest in peace Marie. You were very much loved and admired by those you worked with and those you taught.
Go shed your colour and your artistic talent in heaven.
