Marianne WILLISON Obituary

I am not able to attend the celebration of Mariannes life, please pass on my aroha to Marianne whanau. Over the years although I did not have much interaction as an actor with Marianne it was in the last few years that I would see Marianne more frequently out walking. As her physicality deteriorated she would still get out & about walking & still with that gentleness that she had about her, it was always a pleasure to stop & have a brief chat. A lovely human being has departed but her quiet & gentle manner remains in my memory ... Kua haere ia ki tona moenga roa, she has gone to her long sleep

Marianne was a wonderful woman, known by me and my family for many, many years. I worked with her on Shortland St, then enjoyed seeing her at Selwyn Village. You will be missed, Marianne.

Such fond memories of Marianne at Willison get togethers many years ago and in more recent years catching up whilst on walks around our neighbourhood. An inspiration and wonderful person who we miss.
