ROBERTS, Margot Lloyd (QSM) and John Stanley. This is advance notice that a Memorial Service to celebrate the lives of professional vocal soloists Margot Lloyd and John Stanley will be held on Saturday 5 November 2022 at St Georges Presbyterian Church, Takapuna. There will be various elements scheduled for the day but the service itself will commence at 2.00pm. Margot and John passed away in 2021 during one of the COVID lockdowns in New Zealand and funeral services were not held. This memorial service will provide an opportunity for all those who knew them to pay respects and celebrate their lives. Both Margot and John were well known as professional vocalists and singers of opera, teacher of singing and piano (Margot) and supporters of many voluntary organisations. They raised thousands of dollars to help those in need, particularly through the choral group Colla Voce Ensemble of which Margot was musical director.
