WALLACE, Dr Margaret Joan (née Simpson). At Christchurch, 16 September 2024, in her 88th year. Organist, music educator, formerly HoD Music Aranui High School, former Warden of Salmond Hall and Studholme Hall, University of Otago. Beloved daughter of Isabel Simpson (née Campbell) (deceased) and Ewen Simpson. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Alison and Jan-Bas (Amsterdam), Liz and Richie (Christchurch), Alastair and Jo (Christchurch), Michael and Julanne (Dunedin). Dearly loved grandmother of Miro (Amsterdam), Ewen, Finlay and Theodora (Dunedin), step- grandmother of Tyler (Auckland) and Heather (Edinburgh). Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Helen and Ron Bichan (deceased), Ann (deceased) and Scott Dalziell (deceased), Helen Marsh, Alan and Lorraine Simpson (deceased), Lucy Nanson, Judith and Willy Wallace (deceased), Jean Simpson and Allan Kilner. Beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Margaret's funeral will take place on Monday September 23, 10.30am at St. Ninian's Church, 5 Puriri Street, Riccarton, Christchurch, followed by a private burial.
