Margaret SIMMONDS Obituary

SIMMONDS, Margaret June (nee Nicholson). On April 18, 2020 at home with family as she wished. Dearly loved wife of Peter (deceased). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Anne and Arthur, Gordon and Angela, Neil and Miranda, Desley and Josh. Treasured granma of Robert and Sarah, Natalie and Rowan, Marc and Shanel and Nicholas and Cheree. Proud and loving great granma of Jackson, Kees, Maddison, Michael, Elsie, Harry and Zayden. Much loved sister to her 15 siblings and wonderful aunty to many. We miss you, you will forever be in our hearts. A private cremation will be held. A celebration of June's life will take place when we can set a date and invite everyone who loved her and those whose lives she touched. I Pamela Beets nee Olesen remember Mrs Simmonds well l lived at 63 Wylie street Rotorua. I used to play with Gordon and my Brother Bruce. He passed 9 years ago to a brain tumour only 58 years old.Mrs Simmonds was a great cook. Always lovely cookies in the tins after school. my Father Keith Olesen knew Peter well. My Mum Audrey Olesen knew June well. Good neigbours. Dad passed 2 years on 21.4.2018 aged 95 Mum Passed1 year on 21.4.2019 aged 96 they were married just on 70 years. They died 1/2 hour apart. Together again now. Life is very sad when your last parent goes, one feels very empty. Things you want to tell them and they are not there anymore. But life goes on. My sister Lynette she knew Anne about they are about the same age. Lynette lost her husband sadly 7 years ago. Your Mum did well on here own for along time without her beloved Peter. How old was Mum early 90's. Deepest Sympathy to the families.Thinking of you all at this time of sadness. God Bless Pamela Beets and Lynette Kenny nee Olesen.
