Margaret SHANNON Obituary

SHANNON, Margaret Mary (Rita). After a full life of adventure and accomplishment, passed away peacefully on 21 October 2020, aged 91. Treasured and respected mother, grandmother and friend. A private service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rita's name to Cancer Society Auckland. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the ADHB Community Team and The Doctors at St. Heliers.

Margaret Mary (Rita) SHANNON (née Kehoe). On 21 October 2020, after a short illness borne with dignity and courage, at her home in St Heliers, Auckland, aged 91 years. Loved mother of Tara, Fiona and Liam, and grandmother of Caélem, Siobhán, Sinéad, Gianni and Malina. Loved daughter of the late James and Bridget Kehoe of Cloughcastle, Baltinglass, County Wicklow, Ireland and sister of the late Helena, Andrew, Richard, Bridget, Gerald, Patrick, Maureen, Gerard, Joseph, Eugene and Kevin . Thank you to The Doctors St Heliers and the ADHB Community Services Team. In accordance with Rita's wishes a private service and cremation have been held. The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper - W.B. Yeats. May she rest in peace. Stylist to stars."
