Margaret MCGREGOR VENNELL Obituary

Dear Adrian and family, I received this lovely email from Pat Barlow, whom Margaret inspired to take up aviation law, and who currently practises in San Francisco. She wanted me to pass on her thoughts to you. Here is the email:

Hi Jo
I am assuming you remember me from law school. I just saw the in memorium notice about the passing of Margaret Vennell which is very sad.

Margaret was a great professor and she was the one who encouraged me to go into aviation law and I have had a very rewarding career in this field-and also in the maritime field as well recently doing some America's Cup cases. I have Margaret indeed to thank for my career. Tell Adrian that if you are in touch with him.

The story from Margaret that every person who ever went to her torts class will remember is that Margaret was run over by her own car twice!!!!! I am sure the story will be told at her funeral.

Hope all is good with you and as I recall you were Tony Edwards girlfriend when we were in law school and I think you also married him. If I am right my regards to Tony as well.
