Margaret MAXWELL Obituary

MAXWELL, Margaret Dawn (nee Parsonage). Margaret passed away peacefully on Saturday, 17th September 2022 after a short illness, aged 90 years. She is survived by her children Deirdre, Rowan and Garth and their families. Margaret was a long time general practitioner, and was married to Rodger, who had a similar medical career. Her family acknowledges all gestures of kindness and support. A private family service has been held.

I only learned of Margaret's passing today, so wish to extend my belated condolences to all her family. She was a long-time friend and colleague through the Medical Women's International Association (MWIA). She served a three-year term as the Vice President for the Western Pacific for MWIA. She wrote a book about women doctors in New Zealand. I had the pleasure of meeting with her many times over the years, as we attended MWIA events together. I shall miss her.

We were so saddened by the news of your dear Mum's death. She was such a wonderful person. Our parents, Roy and Maureen Lucas, really enjoyed your parents' company and friendship. We always remember Margaret with great fondness.
