Margie, I found out in June you had left the practice. I was so shocked and vowed to follow you to your next challenge. I was so upset to learn you were ill and had the chance to speak with you before I left for overseas. Typically of you, you only thought of me and said to have a great holiday. Your note to me signalled that things were not good, however I was devastated on returning to NZ last week that you had passed away. They say that God only takes the good ones, he certainly got the pick of the crop this time. You were my doctor for 16 years, but not only a doctor a caring friend who was always there for me, though the bad times and whos dedication and caring is so hard to put into words. I will always remember you and pray that someday we will meet again.

We are so sad to hear about Margie.
I have many memories of your kindness, strength and great sense of humour, Margie. We used to sit next to each other in Maths at school. You were so good at everything and yet so modest.
Our love and best wishes to you Margie, and to Anthony, Jenny and the family,
Debbie and Sarah Lazarus.

Dr Margie Leiman, my GP for 16 years. I hold you in such high regard and have often remarked on what an awesome doctor you are. You have always been proactive, never leaving anything to chance or to wait and see, but searching out the best solution for myself and my two daughters. In June I was bereft to hear you had left the practice but never in my wildest nightmares did I imagine you were unwell, thinking you had moved on to greater things. To read of your passing was such a shock. Fly free Margie. With love & admiration always -Shiona.

Margie. I was so sorry to hear of your passing so suddenly, so young, such a gift to myself, my family and many in our community as you practiced medicine with such genuine love, skill and care. I always felt safe and confident with you. Thankyou. Rest in Peace.

Margaret I remember you clearly from Townsend High School. I can see you now with your "tightly braided pig tails", and glasses. I admired you so. You were one of the smartest kids in our high school class, in the days, where it was ok to declare who had come first or last in class.. But besides admiring your intellect, I always noticed and appreciated the glint of humor in your eyes, ever ready to see the light side of life and laugh, and your humility. I am sorry that all these years have passed since we last saw each other. You will be missed. With Love Lesley Goldwasser

LEIMAN, Margie. You were a very much loved doctor to myself and all of my friends. Each consultation with you was cherished as you made each and every one of us to feel special. You always went that extra mile to help, aide and assist and stuck with me through thick and thin, sad times, happy times, troubled times. Margie you are irreplacable as such a very hard act to follow. Although you were our doctor, you gave your utmost to treat us more as a friend. No issue was too small or trivial. You are greatly missed Margie by one and all. Although you obviously had your own troubles not once did you let us feel that we were less important. You will never be forgotten Margie as both our doctor and friend.
