I was so sad to hear of Margaret's death especially when she had only recently moved to Auckland. Margaret and Rod were guiding lights of the Grey Power Te Aroha Association and wonderful mentors to me when I became president. I cherish my friendship with Margaret especially loved her books and wise advice. My heartfelt sympathies to you all as Margaret and Rod's beloved family. They are re-united at last. Margaret and husband Rod were stalwarts of Grey Power Te Aroha. They sat at Countdown weekly years ago to encourage any passing Senior to join and worked tirelessly to increase membership and presence of Grey Power Te Aroha. Their efforts paid off as we are still an active branch when many small branches have closed. Margaret was also a kind and knowledgeable mentor for any one holding an office and was unsure of procedures or protocol. She will leave many with fond memories. My condolences to her family.
